Punk Halloween costumes

Have you always secretly loved the punk look?  Always had a rebellious streak in you?  Thought main stream was old stream?  Kept your anger about society bottled up?  Well, come Halloween having a punk Halloween costume is the key to your inner punk.
Decide which punk look you are going for.  Do you prefer the ripped shirt, ripped jeans, leather jacket, combat boots, wallet chains, studded belts and spiked wrist cuffs?  Or, do you prefer the ripped t-shirt, lace or plaid mini skirt, fish net stockings, combat boots and possibly a leather jacket?   Whichever punk look you are going for you can find what you want at your local Thrift shop.
For the t-shirt and jeans, go to the Thrift Store and buy a t-shirt.  Get one with the punk rock bands such as the Sex Pistols or Ramones if you can find it otherwise any t-shirt will do.  Also, buy some plaid pants.  They can be baggy or tight, Capri length or ankle length.  Combat type boots and a leather jacket.
When you get this home you will want to take the t-shirts you bought and cut out the neck and sleeves.  Tear, rip or cut holes in the back so you have a jagged look. 
You will want to shop for logos with angry or vulgar sayings that you can cut out and sew onto your shirt.  Using safety pins to attach your logo will always work too.  Permanent marker will work too if you can’t find any logos.
You may have to really look around for the studded belt, spiked wrist band and wallet chains, these are sometimes hard to find at the Thrift shop.
For the punk mini skirt and fish net stocking look, these can also be found at the local Thrift shop.  Choose a mini skirt that is lace or plaid as this fits best with the punk look you are going for.  Keep the fish net stocking in tack so no rips and of course you can get the t-shirt and combat boots there too.  Prepare the t-shirt as explained above.
Now for the hair.  You can get a punk Mohawk wig which makes it all very simple and you won’t have to cut your hair or you can pin up the sides and use lots of hair spray and rat the top to resemble a Mohawk.  You can buy colored hair spray to give you that rainbow look and it will wash out with ease.  Black eyeliner and removable tattoos will complete your look!  Now go out and have a great time.
