DIY punk: Make your own punk clothes

Is punk your style?  How about making your own punk outfits?  DIY punk clothes & t-shirts or do it yourself punk clothes & t-shirts are easy, cool and very inexpensive.  Punk is all about non-conformity and so making your own punk clothes and t-shirts fits in because you can be as creative as you want and really set yourself apart from the crowd.
The easiest way to make your own punk t-shirts is to get some of your favorite punk rock band t-shirts or regular t-shirts from the Thrift Store.  Cut the neck and sleeves out and rip or cut the back.  If you have some logos you can safety pin them to the front or back.  You can also sew them on if you are good at sewing.  Writing punk controversial  sayings across them with permanent market is easy and can really have a good effect.
Ripped jeans is another look you are going for.  Buying inexpensive jeans from the Thrift Store is the best way to get them if you don’t have any of your own.  Put holes and tears in them too.  Once again if you can sew you can sew zippers up the back of each leg. 
Fish nets and a mini plaid skirt can top off your outfit.  Studded belts and spiked wrist cuffs can be bought at the store.
Recycle old punk t-shirts into new clothes
I had several old tees from various punk bands I followed in high school that have shrunk while I have grown (rounder). I did not want to dust furniture with my youth, so I recycled the logos to sew onto some discount sweat shirts. I plan to pass these onto my niece since she is listening to all the bands I did. I did all the sewing by hand and was done in less than an hour.
